Skills & Development
Assess rep skills, identify development areas, and track progress over time.
Managers use Development to assess each rep's skills, record coaching context, and track progress over time. Open it from Development in the sidebar, then select a rep.
Skills administration is not part of the focused Rep workspace. Reps see the performance, meetings, tasks, and manager conversations that help them act on coaching, while managers maintain the underlying assessment record.
Team Development Overview
The Development page summarizes assessment coverage, average ratings, and active development focus across the manager's team. Each rep card opens that rep's development workspace.
Assessing a Rep
The rep's development workspace lets a manager:
- Review assigned skills and current ratings
- Add or remove skills from the rep's assessment set
- Start a guided skill assessment
- Record ratings and coaching notes
- Review development areas, strengths, and rating history
Ratings use a 1–5 scale. Historical entries preserve prior ratings and any notes recorded with the change so managers can see progress rather than only the latest score.
Empty and Error States
If no skills are assigned or assessed, Development explains what is missing and provides the manager action needed to begin. If skill data cannot load, the page shows a retryable error instead of presenting an empty assessment as real data.
