Coaching Oversight

Read-only coaching cadence and follow-through across linked manager workspaces.

Coaching Oversight helps an organization-level Executive see where coaching is active, where reps are past their expected cadence, and which manager may need a check-in. Open Coaching from the Executive sidebar.

What You See

When measurable coaching activity exists, the page shows:

  • Organization Coaching Score — a directional rollup based only on managers and reps with measurable coaching activity.
  • Reps On Track — reps currently meeting their expected coaching cadence.
  • Reps Past Cadence — reps whose most recent 1:1 is outside their expected cadence.
  • Action Completion — completion of coaching action items, when enough action data exists.
  • Coaching Distribution Equity — how evenly measured coaching attention is distributed, when the metric can be calculated.
  • Past coaching cadence — managers with reps who need a 1:1.
  • Manager cards — team size, meetings held in the last 30 days, on-track and behind counts, action completion, and coaching score when active.

Managers who have not started measurable coaching remain visible as Coaching has not started. They do not count as a zero score and are excluded from organization score and cadence aggregates until coaching begins.

The page does not manufacture a trend or recent-activity timeline when those records are unavailable.

Before Coaching Starts

The empty state changes with the actual setup state:

  • If no manager has joined, SMVue offers a path to invite a manager.
  • If a manager has joined but has not added reps, the Executive can return to Team.
  • If reps exist but no completed 1:1 has been recorded, SMVue says coaching activity has not started yet.
  • If the request fails, SMVue labels the data unavailable and provides Try again instead of displaying a healthy zero.

Drilling Into a Manager

Select a manager card to open the manager coaching rollup. It shows:

  • Coaching score, reps on track, reps past cadence, and action completion.
  • Distribution equity when measurable.
  • A per-rep status table with last 1:1, days since, expected cadence, action completion, meetings held versus expected, and coaching status.

For an organization-level Executive workspace, individual coaching-session records, session ratings, and workspace-local rep detail remain inside the manager workspace. The executive drilldown is therefore a summary, not access to the manager's underlying private records.

Who Can Access It

Coaching Oversight is one of the four organization-level Executive rollup surfaces. Managers coach from their own Team and Meetings pages.

  • Executive Seat — Organization-level access and boundaries
  • Meetings & 1:1s — Where managers run coaching meetings
  • Team — Manager and rep status across the organization
