Quick Start
Choose your onboarding path, connect the right data, and get to the first useful view.
Get up and running with SMVue by choosing the setup path that matches your role.
1. Sign Up and Verify Your Email
Create your SMVue account at app.smvue.com.
If you work with clients as a service partner, the ordinary signup page links to the SMVue partner-program application. Client signup links issued by an approved partner remain separate.
After you verify your email, a fresh signup starts with a short introduction. Select Choose how to start to choose what kind of user you are:
- Sales Manager — choose this if you run a sales team day to day and need your own manager workspace.
- Sales Executive — choose this if you oversee multiple sales managers and want to set up a sales organization.
If you joined through a partner-attributed signup, SMVue first asks whether to authorize the referring partner's access and then continues to the introduction and role choice. If you joined through an existing manager invitation, SMVue keeps you on that dedicated setup path instead.
2. If You Are a Sales Manager, Connect Your CRM
The Sales Manager path continues into the manager onboarding flow. Your workspace is the place where SMVue reads the team's CRM data and turns it into coaching, pipeline, and 1:1 guidance.
SMVue works with HubSpot, Salesforce, and Pipedrive. Connect your provider during onboarding or from Settings > Integrations. Your data syncs automatically via webhooks, plus scheduled and manual resync. If you want to look around first, open the guided walkthrough from CRM onboarding. It uses a separate, read-only demo organization and leaves your workspace unchanged. Ending the walkthrough returns you to CRM onboarding; onboarding never seeds sample data into your workspace.
Once CRM data is available, add or import your reps from the Team page. As their data syncs, SMVue starts building the picture of each rep's pipeline and activity.
3. If You Are a Sales Executive, Set Up Your Organization
The Sales Executive path sets up an organization instead of asking you to connect a CRM. Your executive workspace is the oversight home for manager workspaces. You must verify an eligible work email before creating the organization; personal-email accounts should use the Sales Manager path.
First, confirm your organization name. SMVue guesses it from your work email domain. When Brandfetch can resolve the domain to a canonical company name, that enriched name is used; otherwise SMVue falls back to a simple domain-based guess. You can edit the name before creating the organization.
After you create the organization, invite your sales managers. Each invited manager gets an email invitation and, after accepting it, their own linked manager workspace for their book of business. Reopening an accepted invitation returns the manager to the same workspace instead of creating another one. Those manager workspaces roll up to your executive view, while your free Executive access does not consume a paid manager seat.
If no manager has joined yet, the Command Center shows an activation card with an Invite managers action. After a manager joins, the card changes to Manager setup is in progress with a Manage invitations action while that manager still has no synced team or deal data. The card disappears once manager-workspace data arrives. The executive workspace does not need its own CRM connection or subscription; data arrives through the linked manager workspaces.
4. See Where to Start Your Day
Managers can head to the Dashboard after data syncs. SMVue surfaces your daily and weekly brief, the deals that look at-risk, and who to coach first, so you walk into every 1:1 already knowing what to talk about.
Executives can open the executive Command Center immediately. Before any manager joins, it guides organization setup; after linked manager-workspace data arrives, it becomes the operating view. The organization-level Executive seat is intentionally focused on four complete, read-only surfaces:
- Command Center — organization health and the reps who need attention
- Team — managers and their teams, including an Awaiting data state for a manager whose CRM has not produced scores yet
- Analytics — Rep Benchmarking across linked manager workspaces
- Coaching — organization-level coaching oversight
Manager rows can open the manager rollup. Rep-detail and coaching-session-detail pages remain workspace-local, so the organization-level Executive view keeps those records in summary form. Pipeline, Acquisition, Retention, Impact Report, and other workspace-local analytics are not currently part of the organization-level Executive navigation.
